About Us

Queen City Motors had its humble beginnings in 1974 when Melvin and Alberta Uhl along with their son Greg and wife Linda opened a small car lot.

Melvin and Alberta both worked at jobs where the companies were going out of business in Cumberland. Out of economic necessity, they pooled their resources and knowledge with Greg and Linda and started Queen City Motors.

Queen City Motors built their current location at 99 Henderson Ave in 1975.

Sons Michael, Jeff and Tim Joined the business during their high school days.

In 2004, after 29 years of growth, in was decided that the repair business was getting too big for the facilities at 99 Henderson Ave. The 75 Henderson Ave. location was purchased and completely renovated and opened its doors in July 2005 as City Tire & Auto.

City Tire & Auto handles all of the service and repair work for Queen City Motors along with enjoying a large base of very loyal customers.

Our customers know they are #1 with us and that we are there to handle all their automotive needs.

Today Jeff Uhl manages City Tire & Auto and Tim Uhl manages Queen City Motors, the third generation of Uhls.

Both Jeff and Tim continue to grow the business and keep it technologically up to date. This is evidenced by the number of vehicles showing Queen City Motors and City Tire & Auto sales and service stickers on their vehicles.
